General elections 2023: the CENI publishes the election notice

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the election notice for the 2023 general elections, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the law.

The commission disclosed this in its daily bulletin released Monday by Director of Voter Education Victor Aluko in Abuja.

The commission said Monday’s official notice, posted at INEC offices in each state of the Federation and the FCT, contains the date of the election and the location where nomination papers are to be delivered.

“As stated in the notice, the date for the Presidential and National Assembly elections will be February 25, 2023, while the election for the office of Governor and the State Houses of Assembly will be held on Saturday. March 11, 2023.”

The Commission also advised political parties to take note that the venue for submission of nomination papers for elective positions would be at the INEC Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja through the online portal established for this purpose.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that INEC on Friday unveiled the schedule and schedule of activities for the 2023 General Elections in Abuja.

This was following the signing of the law, the Amendment to the Election Bill by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, February 25. (NOPE)
