J&K reports 71 new positive cases
SRINAGAR, JULY 12: Government today informed that 71 new positive cases of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) have been reported today; 44 from Jammu Division and 27 from Kashmir Division, bringing the total number of positive cases to 456,151.
Additionally, 68 other COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals, including 50 from Jammu Division and 18 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on the new Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 456,151 positive cases, 738 are active positive (432 in Jammu division and 306 in Kashmir division), 450,655 have recovered and 4,758 have died ; 2333 in Jammu Division and 2425 in Kashmir Division.
The Bulletin further states that out of 25,888,853 test results available, 456,151 samples tested positive and 2,5432,702 samples tested negative till date. Additionally, 4,991 COVID tests have been performed in the past 24 hours.
To date, 6,596,414 people have been signed up for observation, including 274 people in home quarantine, including government-run facilities, 738 in isolation and 369 in home monitoring. In addition, 6,590,275 people have completed their monitoring period.
Providing a breakdown by district for positive cases for today, the Bulletin informs that Jammu reported 43 cases, Srinagar reported 21 cases, Kulgam reported 06 cases and Samba reported 01 cases while no other districts in the territory of the Union of Jammu and Kashmir has not reported any new cases.
The bulletin advises that in case of help, the general public can call the centralized J&K UT hotline – Toll-free number 104. Sick infants can receive free services by dialing the toll-free number 102, the bulletin says.
He also advises that the public can reach the national helpline by dialing 1075.
