Launch of the electronic filing portal for property declarations
Manual filing of declarations of goods to be exempted
JAMMU: To relieve 4.5 million employees working in various departments of J&K UT, Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta has launched an online portal for the submission of annual property declarations mandated by rules of employee conduct.
It replaces the existing cumbersome manual filing system and aims to ensure timely compliance by all government employees.
The additional chief secretary of the finance department, the principal secretary of the general administration department, the director of the anti-corruption office, the CEO of JAKEGA and the director of IT & SS of the University of Kashmir were present occasionally.
The portal was developed through a collaboration between the Department of General Administration, the Department of Information Technology, the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the University of Kashmir and is extremely convenient and user-friendly.
The new portal will make it easier to access and control property details for all employees, especially when processing due diligence clearances in their favor, in addition to helping the Anti-Corruption Office to quickly investigate cases of disproportionate assets.
Government employees can easily log in using their CPIS number and OTP verification, complete / submit their return property declaration and download / take a printout of it for record keeping. Likewise, DDOs can also monitor and assess the compliance of all affected employees.
Government employees can now submit their property details on the portal https://prs.jk.gov.in, for the 2021 calendar year between January 1 and January 31, 2022.
