Publisher Lovatts steps in to save Nourish magazine
Lovatts Media stepped in to save Nourish Magazine after its publisher, Blitz Publications, went into liquidation last month.
The fortnightly Nourish was launched in 2013 to focus on the needs of time-poor professional women and has joined Blitz’s stable of fitness and lifestyle publications including Gluten-Free Heaven, Natural Vegan, and Blitz Martial Arts. Magazine.
The Nourish acquisition adds to the line of health and wellness titles of Terrigal-based Lovatts, which includes mindfulness titles Audrey Daybook, Teen Breathe and Breathe, which launched at the start of the l ‘last year.
Lovatts Media CEO Rachael Northey said the sale was part of her firm’s belief in growing the niche magazine market:
âOne of our core beliefs is that magazines should be filled with content worth paying for, rather than being heavily watered down with ads. This commitment allows us to create magazines that attract a passionate audience of loyal readers. It also gives us the ability to carefully choose the brands we partner with, creating value for our readers and advertisers. “
As part of the acquisition, Nourish will undergo an overhaul to focus on sustainability and plant-based living. The company has yet to name a publisher for the post.
Former Blitz Publications CEO Silvio Morelli said: âI’m delighted that Nourish Magazine has found a new home with Lovatts Media, which I’m sure will take the title to a whole new level.
âI wish the Lovatts team all the best with this great title. The Blitz team are so proud to see how far they have come and can’t wait to see its further evolution with the new design on the shelves in a few months.
Mumbrella has reached out to Blitz’s liquidators, PKF, to comment on the fate of the publisher’s other titles.
