Siargao, Palawan and Boracay win Condé Nast awards – Manila bulletin
Three Philippine islands landed a spot in CondÃ© Nast Traveler’s (CNT) annual Readers’ Choice Awards for the best islands to visit in 2021.
Of the 85 destinations listed, the surfing paradise Siargao Island was recognized as this year’s best destination in Asia, while the famous Palawan and Boracay Islands took third and eighth places respectively.
The three beat other world favorites in Asia like Raja Ampat Islands in Indonesia (second), Phi Phi Islands in Thailand (ninth) and Phuket (10th).

She said the recognition bodes well for the recovery of the country’s tourism industry and DOT’s latest global “More Fun Awaits” campaign, which showcases the Philippines’ preparations for international pleasure travel once. pandemic restrictions lifted.
Meanwhile, the Philippines placed 20th in the CNT’s World’s Best Countries list with a score of 91.63.
Annual CNT Readers’ Choice Awards collect comments from over 800,000 readers worldwide based on their recent travel experiences at top hotels, resorts, cities, countries, islands, spas, trains, car rentals , luggage, airlines, airports and Cruises.
The 2021 award results demonstrate readers’ recent travel experiences and – given travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic – give some idea of ââwhere travelers’ dream to go next ‘when the world reopens for travel international.
Siargao was also chosen by TIME as one of the 100 Greatest Places in the World 2021.
Palawan ranked 19th out of Travel + Leisure magazine’s 25 Best Islands in the World and fifth in the Asian category this year. It was also included in the CNT list of the 30 best beaches in the world in 2020.
