The Prophet’s Teachings Highlighted During Functions – Journal
KOHAT / BAJAUR: Functions took place in Kohat, Orakzai and Darra Adamkhel in connection with Rabiul Awwal.
Speakers at ceremonies held at public schools in Lachi tehsil, Darra, Kohat town and Orakzai said that even non-Muslims were convinced of the veracity, character, honesty and dignity of the late prophet Muhammad (PSL).
The functions were held at Government Upper Secondary School, Shakardarra, Government College, Baragzai in Lachi, Government High School, Saiful Darra, Orakzai, and Government High School, Darra Adamkhel.
The speakers said the prophet came as a blessing to the entire universe. As a source of light, he ended all darkness and illuminated the whole world, they added. They said the last prophet not only grieved for Muslims but also for non-Muslims, and prayed for their improvement. They said his teachings and his life were a source of forgiveness for the whole world and beyond.
They pointed out that Rabiul Awwal had a special place in the Muslim calendar in which Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) was born.
Competitions of Naats and recitation of the Holy Quran were also held, with the best position holders receiving prizes.
In Bajaur, the district administration launched efforts to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi with religious fervor on October 19.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Deputy Commissioner Iftikhar Alam said his administration had started installing billboards and banners in bazaars and other public places, and installing lighting fixtures on government buildings to emphasize the importance of the event.
He said people from different walks of life, including traders, were also participating in the preparations to celebrate this distinguished event.
