Wanted soldier arrested in Caloocan City

A wanted soldier was arrested by police while carrying a gun while drinking with his friends at Barangay 19, Caloocan City on Tuesday February 22.

The Northern Police District (NPD) Special Operations Unit (DSOU) identified the suspect as Private First Class Michael Fulgar, 42, an active member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) assigned to the unit Geographic Area of ​​the Citizen Armed Forces (CAFGU). Auxiliary Division (CAA).

He was arrested on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Teodoro Nablo of Branch 25, Fourth Judicial Region, Regional Court of First Instance (RTC) of Binan, Laguna, for violation of the law of the Republic 9262 or the law against violence against women and their children. from 2004.

Arresting officers saw the suspect with a gun stuck in his waist while he was drinking with his friends outside his house on P. Zamora Street in Brgy.19 at around 8.30pm on Tuesday.

The cops confiscated from the soldier a Glock .9mm pistol and four magazines loaded with 14 live ammunition. He was also charged with violating the gun ban.

The suspect was brought to the DSOU office for proper documentation and disposition.

He was held at the NDP detention center pending a court order of committal, police said.
