World Literacy Day Listen to a book; Take a book

Altrusa International of Greater Kansas City, Inc will partner with Lenexa Public Market to celebrate World Literacy Day Children’s Event as part of Fun Family Night at Lenexa Public Market, 8750 Penrose Lane, Lenexa, KS; 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8. This is a free indoor event for families with children. Join us as we seek to share the love of reading by encouraging every child to choose a brand new book to take home and add to their library and offer other literacy focused activities. Intended for children from Kindergarten to Grade 6. This FREE event is hosted by Altrusa International of Greater Kansas City, Inc in partnership with Lenexa Public Market and Hearts for Hospice. It was made possible through a $ 4,000 grant from the Altrusa International Foundation to improve economic well-being and quality of life in the communities that host an Altrusa club.
